On August 11–13, TEI held its Annual Meeting of Members at the Hilton Buffalo Thunder in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
More than forty TEI members came together for three days of governance meetings, a workshop exploring incoming international president Josie Scalia’s presidential goals, roundtables on chapter and committee challenges and opportunities and on burning tax department issues, and a political and economic update featuring Katherine Mongé of Capitol Tax Partners, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s chief policy advisor on tax, trade, economic, and budgetary issues.
Attendees and their guests spent Monday evening at the Santa Fe Cooking School for a delicious and fun event where participants created an authentic Southwestern meal. Josie Scalia was appointed as TEI’s international president at Tuesday’s Annual Meeting of Members.
Congratulations to Scalia on her new role and many thanks to outgoing International President Sandhya Edupuganty for her leadership, support, and contributions to TEI over the past year.
