TEI’s Canadian Income Tax Committee (CITC) and Canadian Commodity Tax Committee (CCTC) held liaison meetings with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and the Department of Finance Canada on November 19 and 20 in Ottawa.
The meetings were well attended by members of the committees. Benjamin R. Shreck and Kelly Madigan, TEI tax counsels, also attended. Ernst & Young hosted a dinner Monday, November 18, at Beckta Dining & Wine, and TEI held another dinner Tuesday, November 19, at Play Food & Wine. Soren Halverson, assistant commissioner of the CRA’s legislative policy and regulatory affairs branch, spoke at a luncheon on November 20.
