The New England TEI chapter’s annual All-Day Conference on May 15 featured tax technical sessions and networking opportunities. More than 175 TEI members and nonmembers attended. Fourteen vendor–sponsors showcased their talents.
The event covered mobile workforce, SALT updates, BEPS, career development, and a Washington update. Technical experts provided professional development advice. TEI Executive Director Eli Dicker, the guest of honor, spoke about staying active and promoting change in the tax profession. At lunch, Mark Nunnelly, Massachusetts’ newly appointed commissioner of revenue, discussed the agency’s new focus on technology, easing taxpayers’ communication with the DOR, and access to revenue records.
The chapter awarded scholarships to Suffolk University LLM-tax student James Casiello and Bentley University MST student Kevin Daly.
