In an event with a long tradition, TEI’s New York Chapter held its 61st Annual Tax Symposium on December 5.

This memorable event provided attendees with educational content throughout the day. Experts from law firms, accounting firms, and professional service firms spoke about the most pressing issues facing today’s in-house tax professional. Timed just one month after Election Day in the United States, the symposium opened with a plenary session called “The Impact of the 2024 Elections,” with federal and state and local legislative and policy insights for the upcoming year.

The remainder of the day offered technical and practical sessions highlighting tax accounting, transfer pricing, valuation concerns, and federal, state and local, and international tax. The chapter encouraged attendees to participate in Sponsor Bingo—to meet and mingle with numerous sponsor firms, who of course offered fun swag—for a chance to win an Amazon gift card. Participants enjoyed the opportunity to hear from the impressive cadre of speakers and share the experience with colleagues and friends.
