On May 9, Regions 6 and 7 held their annual liaison meeting with the Internal Revenue Service in Chicago. Larry Pociask, Cathy Stevens, Angela Schlemmer, Sara Zelazny, Meredith Menden, and Ryan Gibbons moderated sessions with IRS speakers on LB&I compliance priorities, the research credit, the Taxpayer Advocate Service, transfer pricing, energy credits, appeals, and resolution tools. There was a great turnout from the IRS, led by Lavena Williams, director of the eastern compliance practice area, and Kathy Kruchten, director of the western compliance practice area.
Eversheds Sutherland provided notebooks, pens, and other items for attendees.
