Due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis and its impact on landmark events around the world, TEI has made the move to go virtual for the much-anticipated 75th Anniversary Annual Conference. Although it would have been the perfect time to commemorate the Institute’s New York City roots this year, the 2020 Virtual Annual Conference will encompass the TEI spirit in a unique setting by offering the unmatched educational value and distinct connectivity that we’ve come to appreciate.
The theme for this year’s Annual Conference remains firm and actionable, since it relates to our world as we now know it: Tax Policy and Practice in the Age of COVID-19—Navigating a Perform Storm. Opportunities for education, networking, and sponsorship will be abundant. Features such as speaker chat rooms and discussion lounges will take the place of typically face-to-face platforms to convene and examine today’s most challenging in-house tax issues. Sponsorships will also take on new forms, including sponsorships for virtual exhibits, the virtual lobby video loop, lobby listings and advertisements, and much more.
As we move through 2020, TEI will continue providing you, our members, with the utmost value in education, networking, and growth. We are a strong, resilient family and a powerful force of in-house tax professionals, and although we will miss the camaraderie and shared experience that come only with in-person meetings, we look forward to that first opportunity to be one unit, together, in one location.
