Meritorious is defined as “deserving praise, reward, and esteem” or “deserving of divine grace.” These words are an appropriate description for the Wisconsin Chapter’s Meritorious Service Award winner: Carita Twinem.
Twinem joined TEI in 1988 and immediately became active in making a difference. She has held all chapter officer positions, culminating in president for the 1999–2000 year. She then set her sights on national involvement on various committees and was elected to the officer track, where she held the role of TEI international president for the 2012–13 year.
Twinem has been an outstanding tax professional, mentor, peer, and friend for many years. The chapter is thrilled to honor her with this award.
