On March 17 and 18, the Cincinnati–Columbus TEI Chapter hosted a regional Tax Boot Camp. More than 150 tax professional members attended, coming from the hosting chapter, Cleveland, Detroit, Indiana, Kentucky, and Pittsburgh. Day one provided training in the fundamentals of federal, state, and international taxes; classroom time was followed by a St. Patrick’s Day celebration for all attendees. Day two was a full-day session on accounting for income taxes.
Cincinnati–Columbus views tax boot camps as an important initiative and set out to accomplish three objectives: provide high quality training for the one- to five-year tax professional, provide affordable training, and provide young tax professionals an outstanding demonstration of the TEI membership value.
