The 2020 and 2021 TEI Region 8 Annual Conference were postponed to 6/8 – 6/12/22 due to travel and work restrictions related to COVID 19. Please be advised that all outstanding tickets may be good for the new date. You will receive an email letting you know if you have tickets that rolled over (as some refunds had to be done outside the Eventbrite system).
But, for the new attendees, it is our pleasure to announce that in 2022, TEI Region 8 Annual Conference will be held at the beautiful Westin Hilton Head Resort. The 2022 Region 8 Conference begins Wednesday evening June 8th and ends Sunday morning June 12, 2022. The Westin has provided us with an exceptional rate ($309/$329/399 for Island/Resort/Ocean View) no additional fee for second person or children under 18, $18 Daily Resort fee covers internet, overnight self-parking, 24 hour access to Westin Workout Fitness Studio, 1 hr steam room use at Heavenly Spa, and other amenities) at a family friendly, beach accessible location.
The conference will once again follow the familiar pattern of an opening reception on Wednesday evening, technical sessions beginning on Thursday at 1:00 pm and on Friday and Saturday at 7:00 am. An audit roundtable discussion may be held on Sunday at 9:00 am depending on interest. There will be a golf tournament on Friday at 1:30 and there will also be receptions/dinner during the conference. As a thank you to TEI members who attended with their spouse at any one of the 2017-2019 TEI Region 8 Conference, please register your spouse using the SPOUSE ATTENDS FREE ticket as a benefit for having attended in the past.
The technical sessions will qualify for over 20 hours of NASBA qualified CPE and CLE for certain states, and will include timely topics presented by some of the best speakers in their fields and in government.

NOTE: Please get hotel room before buying conference tickets. Please only make reservations via the passkey for number of people over 18 YO. If you have children under 18, we will ask closer to the event so that we can manually manage the headcount for The Westin for proper staffing

Family Friendly Event
Conference learning sessions/breaks/receptions/dinners are open only to registered TEI/non-TEI members but you may elect to have other adult family members, friends or children attend the reception/dinners provided a ticket is purchased for them. The tickets for additional adults can be purchased for $75/per person to attend the Wednesday-Saturday receptions/dinners and Thursday breakfast.
Tickets for children (18 and under) are $75 — a great bargain includes the Wednesday opening reception, Thursday Breakfast, Thursday and Friday kids or teen evening program with dinner and Saturday dinner. Please note the TH and FR evening program is overseen by an event manager.
Tickets for Children only wanting to attend the Wed reception, Thursday Breakfast and Saturday is $45/child. Please note that there is no child care services at event.
NOTE: All Breaks, Friday & Saturday breakfasts ARE NOT open to Spouse/other adults/children.
BONUS: Conference attendees who register before 3/31/2022 receive a $35 discount.

Who Should Attend?
Intermediate/Update – Tax professionals at Mid Management Level (at least 3 years of Industry experience) and Directors. Sessions are either an Overview of a topic, appropriate for all levels of experience in tax, or Updates which are a general review of new developments generally necessary for tax professionals in that discipline to stay current.
