The San Francisco TEI Chapter hosted about forty attendees at its annual meeting at the San Francisco Marriott Union Square in June. Speakers included Fiona Ma, CPA board member from the California State Board of Equalization, who updated on current and future California tax trends. Nutritionist, neuroscientist, and author Will Clower, Ph.D., explained the concept behind his book, Eat Chocolate, Lose Weight, eliciting numerous questions! Dr. Clower also provided practical advice on food choices for a healthy life.
The new SF Chapter TEI officers were installed; the ceremonial gavel was passed; and Lorene Anderson, chapter administrator and wife of Past President and Director Steven Anderson, accepted the Meritorious Service Award in his absence. Outgoing President Steve Spafford spoke of the chapter’s accomplishments, and incoming President Roni Height provided her vision for the chapter’s coming year.
